UAE is our second country which we call our second home. As residents here, this is the perfect time for us to appreciate, honor and   give due respect to the UAE national flag. The UAE national flag symbolizes the spirit of unity between the emirates and a source of much pride for the locals. Just like any other country’s flag,  its colors  and designs tell something about its  history and people. On December 2, 1971 other leaders of the Emirates had witnessed the first hoisting of the national flag by the first President of the United Arab Emirates, HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sulatn Al-Nahyan.

According the UAE “ Ministry of Culture, Youth and Knowledge Development “ the designer Abdullah Mohammed Al Mae’nah intended the four colors to reflect Arabian unity .What do the colors signify? For white meaning benign-the hard fought historical battles of their land, black meaning strong represents the vigor of the battles, green represents the lands that were vast and green while the red symbolizes the gallant swords that were stained with red blood of the enemies. But the modern meaning for the national flag colors are: green represents growth , success and prosperity, white means purity, transparency, peace and openness, black gives dignity, elegance and authority and lastly red means sacrifice, energy and power.

                              LONG LIVE UAE!!!
